Nascar Thunder 2004 Review at Game Axis [03-02-2004 | JZ | Comments (2) ]
Because NASCAR racing isnt wildly popular with the Asian audience, you might be wondering why weve even bothered to do a review of an American car racing game in the first place. The reason is simple: This is one good racing game, NASCAR or not! Ever since the discontinuation of its F1 franchise, EA has channeled all its resources to develop its exclusive NASCAR brand. So if you think driving a NASCAR is tough, well think again. EA Sports hired a photographer and got him to take pictures of every single racing track in the NASCAR season. His assignment: to detail every inch of the track. So, when you play NASCAR Thunder 2004 (NT2004), youll drive on courses modeled in exact details based on those photos.

Nascar Thunder 2004 Review at RSC [22-12-2003 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
First off, each track has 3 premade setups that come with the game: an Easy setup, a Race setup, and a Qualifying setup. Each one is actually a decent starting point, with decent balance and speed. They'll need some adjustment though in most cases, the superspeedway setups come to mind; they've got gear ratios that are waaaayyyyy too high for the 'plate engines.

Nascar Thunder 2004 Review at Game Spy [27-10-2003 | JZ | Comments (1) ]
If the career mode sounds like too much work, you can also take part in racing seasons where your only concern is the racing itself. If you simply want to jump right into some quick action, you can compete in single races on any of the current NASCAR circuits (though not all the fantasy tracks found in the console versions of the game).

Nascar Thunder 2004 Review at Game Planet [22-10-2003 | JZ | Comments (1) ]
For the first time, the PC version now has a career mode. Starting with a basic vehicle, you can choose your colour scheme, make and model and work your way up the rankings. Earnings and placings provide access to improved hardware with sponsorship interest also a factor.

Nascar Thunder 2004 Review at Khabal [15-10-2003 | JZ | Comments (4) ]
If you are new to the game, there is no better place to hone your skills than in the testing mode. You can choose the desired tracks to race in, as well as change the settings of the car. Once you are familiar with it, you can move on to the other modes. The Race Now mode allows you to jump into a racecar and start racing immediately with any driver. This is definitely for those who just wish to race around the tracks. If you are up for a challenge, you can choose to play multiplayer, where you can test your racing skills with others on the Internet.

Nascar Thunder 2004 Interview at EA [12-10-2003 | JZ | Comments (12) ]
I don't quite get this, but isn't EA publisher of Nascar Thunder 2004? Wo what the heck is EA doing interviewing their own "man"? EA SPORTS: What are some of the changes and improvements in the A.I. racecars this year? Scott Stutsman: In NASCAR Thunder 2004, we have taken our fantastic racing A.I. cars and given them some personality by integrating Grudges and Alliances. Teammates and Allies will draft with you and not battle you as hard for position, but the really cool element is what we have done to create such great rivalries in the game. If you bump someone out of the way, you can expect the "favor" to be returned with a little retaliation.

Nascar Thunder Review at GameZone [29-09-2003 | IS | Comments (0) ]
For the gamers looking for a complete racing game, NASCAR 2004 will please. The different game modes should keep gamers entertained for a long time. The excellent graphics and smooth gameplay will also please racing fans. The controls can take a while to get used to at first. Your car has a tendency to drift to the left since your racing on oval tracks the majority of the time.
