We here at Team Blackhole Motorsports need your help. As you all know, the team puts in a great deal of effort to provide you with the latest news and downloads from the sim racing world. However, all of this hardwork comes at a steep cost. Until now we have been able to maintain ourselves but recent site popularity is making this more and more difficult. Last month alone we transferred over 1.3TBs (thats 1,300GBs) of data. The cost to provide that much bandwidth is expensive and we need your help to keep us going. We are kindly asking our patrons to use the PayPal donate button to make donations. The PayPal donation is a secure and easy way to send your donations directly to Team Blackhole Motorsports. Can't calibrate my MS FF wheel, it crashes the game with an internal error. Kinda sucky and i certainly hope they don't release the full version without that fixed!

Well if the demo reprsents the game then stick with their original Sprint Car game as this one except for the cars is an arcade game. The track looks horrible and the setup dynamics are crude. Of course it does come from a game machine. Definetly a game not a SIM.

Just like Jure said...this demo is HOT. I really love the tear-offs and pulling a wheelie mid corner. Can't wait for the whole game.

Well after almost 2 years of waiting, Ratbag has finally announced the release of WoO Sprint cars demo to follow up the great titles already available and I must say that I was very excited about this new game. Having seen the improvements in the graphics department in DTR2, I expected that this game would be very similar in graphics. 1st Impressions. OK I D/L the demo and thought that it was time to test it straight away. The menus look great and the navigation was very simple. I jumped straight into the Mopar car of Mark Kinser, set it to Outlaw mode and hit the Knoxville track to see how this game would go. After some minor tuning adjustments I was ready to qualify and away I went. The opening screen of the game was just awesome and I thought, wow, these graphics are very smooth and really cool. I was anticipating the game to out perform DTRSC and then whammo, I passed the white line and I was off as I stood on the gas. Car Physics OK I know I do not run much these days but I do know from experience what a car should handle like. Well after coming off the line, my car headed straight to the fence, and I just clipped it with the right rear. My car basically stopped and turned right hard. I thought What tha? I only touched the fence lightly and this stopped my car. I thought it was a major over dramatization of how things were usually. I recovered and headed for turn 1. The car basically slid most of the corner. I found myself battling to turn in and get the car to react. I had no tweaking control of the car at all. I gave the game time to grow on my though and headed for turn 3 and 4. About midway down the straight I was doing a mono. Very strange considering I loaded up the front with weight. Then I was clipped by another car whilst battling to bring the front down. The touch was light but I soon found my car doing well over 30 rolls. I just sat back and said, ahh bullshit, no way and words to that effect. This game is an arcade style game. Definitely not one for the experienced drivers who are real sim racers. I tried about 20 different setups and still had no luck getting the car to react the way I am used to seeing a sprinter feel. I was disappointed immensely but thought, this game is an adaptation of a PS2 game and the only real sim game I have played on PS2 is Gran Turismo. Graphics. Well these definitely look great. Dust and mud flying and the car detail is excellent. I give the game in the graphics department a lot higher mark then the previous title. It is very similar to the DTR2 game in this respect and as I mentioned, the menus look really good as well. I noticed that there is actually a driver in this car as too but he has no wheel movements. Bit like seeing a mannequin doing 140kph. Drawbacks. OK the first setback is that this game has been adapted from a PS2 title. Therefore it does not allow editing in any way, well the usual way anyways. Car handling is awful for experienced guys and this makes the title arcade style which is ok for the lesser sim racer looking for an induction to Sprintcar racing. I could not see how to change the AI difficulty other then driving a slow car which is not for me. The sound of the car is weird and I also could not see how to change the track wetness. The low groove seems to be far fetched as well giving the car a rev boost suddenly instead of gradual. Most of all, I think that Ratbag by now should realise what kind of people are buying their games. This does not provide anything for the dedicated Sim Guys on the net that they did not have before and actually seems as though its a step backwards for sprint car racing. Knowing that it was a PS2 conversion, I think it would have been better to leave it on PS2 and develop DTRSC2 as a pc based game. OK so if youre the type of person who likes to see great graphics and replays, go buy this one. For the rest of us, the demo is about the only way I will run this game and I dont see myself rushing out for this one. The DTR2 sprint conversions that are around right now far out perform this game and DTR2s Sprint Cars are cars that has no stagger. I would suggest just sitting tight, maybe emailing Ratbag games and getting them to bring out a DTRSC2 game targeted at the guys who have supported the DTR titles for years. This one is not worth the wait. Ill stick to ADSRAs products for DTR2 which are far more realistic and enjoyable to drive. Shane www.adsra.com

Love this game, wish it had a few of the originals features - setup save format and video/movie options....:(....but it does look sharp and I like the feel....

Wow....this game just went down hill. The graphics are awsome and really neat. but the gameplay is terrible. its far from a sim game like DTRSC and DTR2, it is way too much like the PS2 version. No editing will also bring the game down becasue one will get bored of the game quick. The Car sounds are done very badly...the car sounds fake. I dont find myself even looking at it in the stores....much less wanting to buy it.
