Hello. I can't get DTRSC to run in D3D on my new video card, nVidia GeForce 8600, it will only run in software mode. When I try to get it to run in D3D, the menus come up as blocks, not text, and if I get the game to run by guessing at the right areas to click on, it comes up with the cars, tracks, and scenery made up of text, not graphics. I have tried running it in Windows 95 and 98 compatibility mode with no help. I have Windows XP SP2 Prof and the game ran fine on this system with my old card, a GeForce 6800, so I know it has to do with the new card but I don't know any way around it. Thanks for any help |

I'm having the same problem with the menus with my system (Windows XP SP2, GeForce 6800GT). Updating to the latest version of DX9c and running in compatibility mode doesn't help. The only way I could make it work was to use old NVIDIA drivers (81.95). Leadfoot, also made by Ratbag, has the same menu problem. Anyone know how to get the menus working using up to date video drivers on an NVIDIA 6800GT? |
