"RACE 07 a new game from Swedish SimBin, to be released on PC in Q2, 2007
After the intense action of the WTCC 06 season in RACE The Official WTCC game it is time for a brand new single seater racing experience.
For the first time ever SimBin presents Formula cars, featuring Formula 3000, Formula BMW and in addition also Radical cars with the models SR3 and SR4.
But not only that, as the title RACE 07 signals, the game will ship with the full season of WTCC 2007, all the new cars and tracks are included as well as the 2006 season found in RACE.
RACE 07 comes with a bunch of new tracks and added track variations including new city tracks, alternate track layouts and reversed track option.
Several new community oriented features, game modes and online functionalities will be announced later.
To support these new race classes the player will be offered the choice between one- or two-race-format. Also the highly detailed damage system from RACE is adapted to give the Formula cars the vulnerability they have in real life. "

Wow! Single seaters are my choice for racing, and I love GTR2, so this is right up my alley. Hopefully it'll turn out a bit better than WTCC06.
Now where are the screens?! |

Yep, if it's Steam it's going to have to have alot of good content for me to even consider it. I did not buy RACE, partly do to Steam also. Steam=Non-Moddable, can't get new tracks into sim, the list goes on..... |

It used to be whenever Simbin anounced a new sim you could guarantee you would get posts saying "I won't buy it if it uses Starforce". The more things change, the more they stay the same |

Yeah, Kinda sad piracy puts it there. I can't believe there's not a copy protection that just works, W/O a downside like Starforce (eats systems) or Steam (makes sim un-moddable). Maybe they should do a registration key like LFS or Rfactor has done.....

Why don't you just use another partition for star-forced games. Doing so would leave your normal system untouched and you could play games that come with star-force.
The only thing you have to do is restart the PC when switching from worlking to gaming ... just an idea ...
And yes, I see the point that with Steam, my solution is no solution.
Cheers |
