Hello
I have one more question for you guys. I have begun to look for mods...what are the tracks and sounds that are you recomend? Are carsets graphics for cares? ALso, I am wondering about caresetups?
Most important. I bought the full game from sold out software. I have only copyed the tracks from that cd to get the other racetracks...but on the intro scene on the cd it asks if I want to update the game. So far I have only used your demo and copied the tracks from the cd...should I run the update from the cd or should I copy any other files. This might be a good sticky for those of us who are just coming on board with GPL's.
IS the game for 1965 or 1967 as I have also seen a mod for 1967 I think?
EDIT: Changed the thread title so others can see the topic better.
Hope you didn't mind. |

Only the tracks from the CD. Nothing more.
The sound in the demo is probably the best available, however, "Ducwolf" the guy who made the sound pack, is soon to release a new set..
Check RSC regularly for updates regarding this.

Do not run the Sierra utility, you wont find any GPL updates you want or need, only trouble if you install something from there.
Here's the link to the GPL file section here on BHM. https://bhms.racesimcentral.net/GPL/downloads/1075
You'll find the 1965 mod and the Thunder cars mod there.
1967 is the original season in GPL with 3L engines.
The cars in the 65 mod is easier to drive, less HP and more Grip.
If you want to update the graphics on the cars a little more then go to GPLEA. https://www.kotr.de/GPL/ Check the date on the files. Anything made or updated after Aug 2004 is New.
If you want graphics updates for the original tracks. Check out the Sticky post on Top in this forum.. Oh what the h.... Here's it is

For your setup needs. Try this. https://www.teamredline.co.uk/
Check under Downloads - GPL. BEAWARE that Greger Huttu is an ALIEN meaning his setups are often hard for beginners, I don't find them hard if I change the brake bias more to the front. Anything from 54 - 57 % is good, save the setup. There are lots of easy setups out there, check out his section in RSC.
