Moonbyte Studios and Replay Studios are happy to announce that the stunt racing game "Crashday" (PC CD-ROM version) will be published by Atari in Germany and is going to be released in late 2005!

Blending the famous classic stunt racer "Stunts" and the wrecking game "Carmageddon", CRASHDAY introduces a whole new gaming experience: Realistic stunt physics, numerous varietal game modes, absolute freedom of movement and a powerful, integrated track editor to create innumerable custom maps.

During the career game the player, working for an underground video store, will participate in numerous challenging competitions like illegal stunt shows, head-to-head races or wrecking mayhems. With time the player will be able to purchase new cars, tuning parts and other accessory to finally reach the ladder's top of the illegal stunt drivers.

CRASHDAY fully supports multiplayer for both local network and internet. It is scheduled for late 2005 for PC and Playstation 2.

Everything fine except that childish "illegal" stuff Confused ... what is illegal about stunt driving? You're closed in a stunt track and there are no rules, everything depends on You... If You commit suicide in some trick it's only Your fault... Everyone racing with You is prepared for death etc. etc. ... You won't be able to kill bystanders, because there are none of them.

For me it's only a trick for kids thinking that illegal races are way better than normal, and their Need for Rice brains are only targetted to "illegal" thingys.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's my point of view.

Couldn't agree more. Except for the "need for rice" remarks. What's wrong with Japanese cars? Confused

Anyway, it's better that kids play at illegal stuff in a virtual world rather than in a real world. I'm just waiting to see who's going to try to blame this game for "training" some kid doing stupid things in a real car.

Need for Rice is not about japanese cars (which I don't like anyways), it's about NfS:U, which idea is to race in some illegal races (in cars which need to be tuned, because without tuning they haven't got any performance) with maximally arcade feeling. Max arcade, tuned up cars, supa dupa grafx and "illegal" stuff is the best things for kids.

All I can say is they better have a demo. Because by the description, it looks way to childish for me also (working for an underground videostore?).
No demo, definitely a no-buy.

I know it refers to NFS:U. But there are lots of european cars in there too. And the latest version has a few american ones too. Why only refer to japanese cars.

I just don't get what ppl have against japanese cars. They are actually some of the best affordable cars in the world. When it comes to cars most can afford, very few can beat or even match the japs. And the Evo8 can really give a Lambo or Ferrari a hard time.

Allright, allright, stay calm man... I don't wanted to start a fight here. I like only German cars, and some American (there are also some exceptions, like Subaru, Lambo Countach and Lancia Stratos). Any other cars aren't bringing my attention and my previous posts weren't targetted only to japs' cars... it was targetted to NfS:U's game idea.

I won't change Your mind, neither You won't change mine.

Anyways... keep that discussion clear.

i was pretty disappointed in the demo Sad
its just all eye candy, the engine sounds were terrible and even though its the kind of game it is, the car car physics were also terrible Sad
i wanted a long time to play this!
looks damn good but the game play was poor.

Laughing . i have 4 years history and degrees in pro class gocarts (thoose days they were 65 kg and 31 hp at 21.000 rpm, 2 stroke engines) and then continue my hobby with touring car races. once i wanted to join a gocart race in canada in 1998, i went to track and started to race with the other guys in 4stroke 7 hp carts (i do not underestimate those class, you learn lots of things in them). after a couple of laps, track marshall called me back to the pits and warned to me about to obey traffic rules. i wanted my money back immediately and went to shopping mall instead.

i think "illegal stuff" in this kind of game is thing like that... Razz Razz
