Brad McGiveron, Redline Dev.: "Its been quiet around here for a month now and alot has been going on behind the scenes while we have been reworking GTP for the release which is now ready. There are a few things different with it this time but the mod itself is totally intact and in fact with major improvements in all departments.
Everything from physics to the FPS counter and graphic glitches has been improved. The AI are also improved abit as well with so many other small fixes to mention... and I am sure there will be a few new bugs found.
We are however not releasing the tracks and the carset/paints we originally did. The community we feel can easily take up the slack and reproduce their own and any car paints they have been using or make new and better ones with ours and others templates. The work we have seen has really been top notch from carpaints posted by users and we urge and hope they all continue to do so.
The one thing we really hope is that VROC will get some real use as of this release. Its a top notch multiplayer lobby service with many feature being added ever day. The more leagues and people using it, the more it will improve so please use it and help it become a staple of the sim racing community as the original was and has been for so long for GPL.
The GTP V 1.0.0 (old version) is now not compatible with VROC and or GTP V 1.1.0 (new reworked). Also we, as our statement mentioned, will not support the first version and thus it should be considered a non topic around these parts. You can get Vroc here.
All of our forums are reopened so please post setups , carpaints and discuss GTP as you wish.
The install is a bit different this time and again ill mention that you do need a fresh copy of NR2003 installed and patched to version 1.2.0.1... I say a fresh one as you may mess up other mods if you install this to your standard install. Do so at own risk. Run our installer and when asked where to install, browse to the folder where the NR2003.exe would be ... and that is just about it.
We would like to thank First-Racing.net for their understanding and continued work to make simracing better for all. We also thank the many people who have talked to us and supported us. Finally and most importantly we want to thank everyone who worked on GTP. A year of work is alot in any form and specially for free!! THANK YOU!"

stop using your "spyware infected" IE..
Solution in 3 step
step 1: addaware/spybot scan
step 2: install firefox
step 3: Delete de blue E on your desktop

? which site? and which virus?
|
The second link on the GTP download site.
I've run the latest version of Hitman Pro 2 (includes adware/spyblaster etc.) and still the Trojan Horse "TR/StartPage.qr.dll" keeps messing with my IE now..
I've got firefox though. But I can't get rid of the trojan..

By banning mods that use anything other than the crap physics with the game, and only then if they don't violate third party copyrights.
Yeah. Thanks for making simracing better, First...
