V-Rally 3 Review at CVG [12-01-2004 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
V-Rally 3 also offers two different classes of rallying. The 1.6 litre engine is effectively beginner mode and sure enough, I managed to win the rally of England by more than two minutes over my nearest rival. However, once you've got a few seasons under your belt in this mode and proved you're ready to cut it with the big boys, you're offered the chance to race in the 2.0 litre 4x4 event. This is not only more challenging, but introduces you to new tracks too.

V-Rally 3 Review at Ferrago [05-01-2004 | JZ | Comments (1) ]
After a few hours things settled down a bit and paying close attention to the upcoming road conditions and adjusting your car's settings accordingly helped me feel more in control of things, even if that was maybe an egocentric illusion. You can tweak the suspension, ride height, and stabilizers, and you can alter the gearbox ratio, differentials, and brake bias. My, it wouldn't be a rally game if you couldn't get underneath the bonnet for a quick fiddle, now would it?
