Thunder Cars Mod for GPL Released
[30-03-2005 | IS | Comments (13) ]
Thunder Cars mod for GPL is an open wheeled series with early 70's feel. All cars use a 426cu V8, slick tyres and wings.

This is not a representation of F1, we see the mod as a fictional early "CART" type series as these cars work well at ovals and road tracks alike.
Although never built we have tried to keep the spec of the cars realistic for the period so they could have been built if someone was mad enough.

Compared to gpl67 you have a BIG HEAVY car here so the tracks will suddenly seem alot narrower and shorter, but the superb physics will allow you to combat this...

Thunder Cars BETA Mod Released for GPL

Thunder Cars is a fictional One Make Challenge series for Grand Prix Legends. All of the cars have exactly the same chassis, engine and tyres. There is no difference between the cars other than the livery. With a fairly small frontal area, and over 600bhp on tap at the rear wheels you should be seeing somewhere in the region of 230mph from these cars. They have healthy amounts of torque, and yet in true oval-style still rev quite freely. They are primarily intended for oval racing, although they have proved to be stunningly good fun on road courses, ideally suited to the likes of Spa and Le Mans for example, yet also give great racing on wider short courses such as Lime Rock.
