Dirt Track Racing 2 Review at Gamespot AU

In career mode you truly become a dirt track racer. Racing as yourself you start with limited funds racing Pro Stocks and have to prove yourself on the track, winning sponsorships, competing in various races of the massive US circuit and consequently using your winnings to purchase the desirable Late Models and super desirable Concept Modifieds.

PODS Racing League
[28-06-2003 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
The Professional Online Dirt Series (PODS) is an orginized online racing league using the game DTR2. At PODS we run things a little differntly. We run for fun, but we also run for money. We run both the Late Models, and the Concept Modifieds. We do not run any custom tracks as of yet, due to cheating, but we might consider it in the future. Anyone can join the PODS league. Membership only costs $25 per season. It is cheaper than real stock car racing, and you can make more than some local stock car racers if you compeate full time. We also have a free membership, but the racer will not receive any awards or special benifets. Race winnings are paid monthly by PayPal. If the racer does not have a paypal account, the winnings will be paid by check or money order. The addition of PayPal is nice. You could receive your race winnings minutes after running a PODS event. Its also user friendly and anyone can sign up if they have a bank acount or credit/debit card. We are going to try to become as one of the most respectful, funest, and orginized online racing leagues there is. Come join the PODS today!

Dirt Track Racing 2 Review at OTERacing
[24-02-2003 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
Out on to the race track I go then to see what my car has against the AI. First thing I picked up on was the eye candy in the cockpit. No, there wasn't any pictures of anybody's girlfriend taped to the dash, but after inhaling exhaust fumes from the driver ahead of me, my line of vision was loaded with a huge chunk of dirt! After pausing the game breifly, I quickly learned where the tear-off button was to get rid of it. To me, this was a really cool feature, because I've never been through a race where I haven't used a couple of tear-offs. Other very noticable things included the grandstands, the fence detail, and even the infield was pretty tricked out. I marveled at how well my graphics card seemed to work with all of this detail, because my only slight drop in my frame rate was when I hit lap traffic.
