A sub-par lite simulation racing game that tries to be much more, but ends up falling smack on its ass at every attempt. Papyrus has long been the dominant name in the PC racing simulation market. Several companies over the last few years have tested the waters in this area, but with only moderate success. This year, EA Sports enters the fray with its previously console only Nascar Thunder series. Is this latest entry enough to de-throne the current king of racing simulations? Throwing back a few Buds with a large wad of Skoal shoved in your lip while watching the Southern-twang filled world of Nascar is a thrill unlike anything else. At least, thats what plenty of die-hard racing fans will say. Personally, I cant stand watching those excruciatingly boring races. However, I certainly do enjoy playing the games. The speed, the competition, the glory, and of course, the speed.
