Geoff Crammond has confirmed to SimRacingWorld that the Grand Prix 4 Patch has indeed been completed and is now in testing ready to be released very soon.
Well all i can say is the GP series has given me so muchover the years and i could never knock them. But i do play in a league with F1 2002 which took some getting used to after GP3 but now i really cant go back.
But saying that i did buy GP4 because i just had to know how good it was.
All i can say is that i hope this iminent patch thats due out really will revolutionise this game/sim. I mean its like GP3 with great graphics and tons more problems.I still hope that this game can be salvaged because i really want it to. But at the moment it really does look like Symergy missed the boat. Just a few minor gripes that are too late now but how come you still cant alter steering lock in setup menu/ instead you still have to goto controls and change it for every setup. Very annoying just like GP3.
Also control setup with dual axis is a nightmare with my BRD sim Pro!! Now i have to use my controller the old way. Also setup choices like tire pressures camber etc still missing. I know this patch wont really do alot but 'Hey Geoff' a major rewrite and free update to transform this game and its dwindling reputation would definately be a must in my eyes. Also take note of the competiton for a change as i heard once somewhere that you dont look at other sims but do your own thing. Well i can tell you that F1 2002 is taking off and growing like GP1 2 and 3 did all those years ago with so many mods and great support that time is of the essense here to save this series.
GOOD LUCK!!
