Hello all,
I am contemplating getting this sim. It seems that this game doesn't get nearly as much forum attention as i'ts brother - GTR? Why do you think that is the case?
Also, I hear mixed reviews about it levitating somewhere between arcade and sim? Is it as realistic as GTR?

Thank you so much,
todd

Hi Todd!

The different point of views should come from the fact, that GT Legends has some arcady features, i think mainly the career style gameplay (witch can be cheated).
About realism. GTL is just as reallistic as GTR, or GTR2. There are differencies, but the whole feel is quite the same. They are all Simbin games. The physics engine is decent, but not hardcore, thats why a lot hardcore simracers bashing all Simbin titles. I think the physics are pretty good, and fun to drive and far from real arcade racing games. I definitely call it a simulation, but you can find some better titles (mainly physics-wide).
However, if you're in love with that era of motorsports and those cars (as myself), you will have a lot of hours of fun to race. Especially in a league.
Now, i am an iRacing subscriber and the physics compared to each other is like night and day, but i still love GTL, and i always leave some space to it on my hard drive.

I bought this game awhile back, I just waited for the prices to drop and I got the Best Selling Edition so I came with GTR2 as well.

None of the Sim Bin games or most games coming from small companies are as slick as GT or Forza.

This is not the forum for GT-L fans either, try https://www.nogripracing.com

That is where most of the hard core fans of GTR2 and GT-L hang out including the Power and Glory mod for GTR2.

I like older games since they run smooth as butter on my desktop and even my new $300 laptop (ATI HD4200 IGP 128mb side port), still don't like the fact I have to setup my wheel to play it though...

I love GT-L because I love the era, the golden age of motorsports world wide.

I don't understand why Sim Racing Hardcore wanna beat up on a commercial title. I mean they have Live For Speed and other community generated games/content, why bitch about this game, just be happy somebody threw you a cookie.

Making PC Simulation titles for racing is non-starter for most game publishers, be happy with what you get.
