I love my G25 wheel, with a few exceptions..., one being the clutch. The clutch on mine grabbed as soon as I let it off the floor, which made it difficult to do anything except rev the motor and drop the clutch to get moving. I opened up the pedalset and after some testing added a 4.7 ohm resistor to the clutch pot, soldering it from the center post to the post labeled 'Q'. Now it works more like a clutch in a real car. It's still a quick clutch, but now you can get a smooth takeoff easily. If there's another way to adjust the clutch, I'd be interested in hearing it, but I'm very pleased with how this mod came out. |
