I went to the ASR08 main site and it says you can download and purchase the game online, whats the difference in the 32-bit and 64-bit?

There really is no difference, it appeared that certain 64 bit operating systems installed with less issue on one version of the client than another. Although the clients will auto update to the same version anyways through their natural update processes.
