Got GRID for my birthday and I hate to admit it but it's kinda fun after the hardcore of GTR/GTR2. And I love the fact that I can finally race in a field of Tuscans (I tried doing my own mod for GTR- another story).
Anyway, I was horrified at my second two-race event at Donnington - I thought I was on a totally different track and then realised they'd reversed Donnington - sacriligious! I had to retire from the race out of principal! I haven't spent hours/days lap after lap around Donnington in GTR to have to do it in reverse!
I started to post a question to ask if anyone new how to mod the game so the track was the proper way around everytime you went there but decided to take a look myself:
I notice there were four similar route folders (ignoring the Le Mans) and I guessed that they're the short & long in both forward and reverse (0 & 2 look to have more stuff in the ai_track.xml files so they're probably the 'GP' track). So I simply moved route_2 & route_3 into a new folder as a backup and copied/pasted route_0 & route_1 and renamed them to route_2 & route_3.
I've tested it for 1 race (not big on testing, ahem) and it seems to work glitch free - not too sure how it might affect your save games etc so do it at your own risk, but if your like me and still retain some of the purist but have taken to playing arcade games then this might be of interest.
And who else skipped the 24hr Le Mans not realising it's only 24 minutes long in GRID!
