The latest version of BTB is ready for beta testing ... https://www.bobstrackbuilder.net/pro_users/beta_test.aspx
Video of how it works ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4RYGP6g62Q
Changes ...
Added
- “ActAsGround” indicator helps BTB determine what parts of your Track / Terrain are considered when placing objects on top.
- Movement in 3d window now done with Right click. Popup menu for solid/wireframe is now integrated into menubar tool. See “Disable Left Mouse Navigation” option under settings.
- “Temporary Files” are now kept for 7 days to assist people that have suffered loss when a crash occurs.
- When importing from Longitude / Latitude sources (CSV or KML), Longitude & Latitude are stored with track to indicate the location of the first Node.
- New Hide Unselected Nodes function.
- Added smoothing operations for Nodes. Right-click when moving nodes to access the menu option.
- Nodes Transform window now has exact position buttons.
- Added very very simple AIW for rF. You will no longer get the Wrong Way message but you will still need to redo AIW if you want computer cars or pit lanes defined.
- rFactor high sky fix – thanks to Neil Faichney (Krunch)!!
- New rFactor skybox and surrounds – again thanks to Neil Faichney (Krunch)!!!
- rF export now has an OffsetType to help position track in space.
- Added Pacenotes for RBR.
- RBR export has Tyre Physics setting, be careful a Tracks.ini file is overwritten – a future patch will eliminate this problem.
- Can now edit Terrain Area name.
- Terrain Anchor merge works when using the “Split Faces” tool.
- Some Terrain Area functions are a little faster.
- Press “M” to quickly access the Terrain Anchor Merge Selected function.
- Add text to indicate how many terrain faces polys are selected out of total.
Modified
- rF grvl materials now have more grip (edit TDF file).
- rF Export properties (CreateFolder, Overwrite*) are now part of Venue project instead of program settings. Be careful when first exporting an existing Venue.
Fixed
- Track Visibility state now saved and retained when performing an Undo.
- rFactor track shadow and collision fixed for Terrain Areas containing more than one type of material.
- Copying Track with Wall would not position the new wall correctly.
- Crash when terrain fills to end of open-ended track and then the last node was split.

Had a very quick test of the driveline and pacenote editing and it looks good. This part will be very easy to use I think.
I exported it to rbr, but pacenotes didn't appear in the game. Not sure it it's added to the plugin either. And sometimes I just comes into the screen which tells me that I have finished, but the table with my times is empty.
One thing regarding modelling in general that I have a comment about. When you have made your road and added terrain to the side of the road thinks look nice until you decide to move some part of the road just to change it some way. That is something you need when you start to test drive it. When you do this the road move, but the terrain around doesn't and then things starts to be tricky. I guess you should try to make your terrain move with the road otherwise you need to lock the road as soon as your starts to add terrain.
This is of course a problem if you do your modelling in tools like max as well, but there you can get around it with having road and terrain as the same mesh and use "smooth selection" when you move vertices.
Just my thoughts
Keep up the good work guys

as you've seen in piddy's video the pacenotes ARE enabled in plugin. you probably use a different version.
add few notes and post the resulting pacenotes.ini here.

Hi to all...
My problem is that I don't have pacenotes. Sometimes Pacenotes comes randomly or 2 or 3 first notes of the track. 90% of attemps I don't get any Pacenotes.
Same goes to checkpoints and stage end/finnish. Re-installed everything and no help...

When I try to drive in the game it jumps directly to the end screen, "you set a new record to the stage" ...sometimes the time starts to run in that screen.. Very weird.. EDIT: with old track made by btb older version the game starts normally, but no pacenotes and timing not workng,,,

hello,
i have a problem:
while building a new track with bob 0.4.0.8, the game is only loading until the blue loading screen - only for a second, than ctd.
i tried to solve it in several ways:
the RX_CONTENT folder exchanged by an older version. the track is loaded and i get the time table without driving.
than i set end and finish to "by percentage" in btb / timing gates and both gates were set to the start - maybe this explains the time table after loading.
so i changed the position of the gates back to the end of the track (manual), but after 12.99 sec the driving is aborted and the time table is shown.
do i exchange finish and end, i can drive until the end of the track, but there is no real finish with time table.
another problem: i can set the pacenotes, but they are enabled in the game
i hope, someone ist able to help me. so that i can enjoy btb with building tracks - really good work, guys.
i just cant expect to get the finished btb.

Here is short test track. Now pacenotes are not there at all and stage end not working.
I think that the problem is not in the program but I want to know what I'm doing wrong.
test.rar - 95.75 KB 31 Time(s)

those "," should be "." like:
[PACENOTES]
count=9
[P0]
type=21
distance=5
flag=0
[P1]
type=8
distance=175.5798
flag=0
[P2]
type=8
distance=342.2271
try a replace all and see whats happening.
