10TACLE STUDIOS and Blimey! Games Announce Next-Gen Racing Title Based on New License.
10TACLE STUDIOS' London branch, Blimey! Games, has started development on a next-gen racing title, utilising the official Ferrari license.
10TACLE STUDIOS AG have signed a license agreement for the development of video games with Ferrari, a world leader in automotive excellence. The concept and realisation will be done by 10T's London studio, Blimey! Games. The team who employs many of the talents behind the award winning games “GTR - FIA GT Racing Game”, “GT Legends” and the current racing reference “GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing Game” is now working on this all-new title focusing exclusively on Ferrari's finest automobiles throughout history.
"It is a tremendous opportunity to be able to develop a game under the Ferrari licence, the world's finest car manufacturer. I’m sure that our project will bring home the rich racing heritage and pedigree that has earned them a place in history and our dreams." says Ian Bell, CEO of Blimey! Games. "We will strive hard to create a product that honours the Ferrari brand and image of style, sophistication and raw speed."
"The Blimey! Games developers are one of the most talented team in this segment worldwide and of course we would like to support such a big brand with the best possible product quality. The attention to detail and thorough understanding of motorsport as evidenced by their previous work shows that we have definitely chosen the best team to distill the spirit of Ferrari into a racing experience which will be both deep and exhilarating." says Frank Holz, Marketing and Sales Director 10TACLE STUDIOS AG.

Looking very good! Been looking forward to this Sim for awhile now, can't wait to take some of these models for a drive . Hopefully there is an F40 and F50 in there, as those are my 2 favorite Ferrari's. Definitely the F40 if I had to choose though -It wouldn't be right to not include the F40, as it's the last car that Enzo himself helped design |

Any word if this is just a PC title? I hope they bring it to the Xbox 360 as well. I would love to play this on Xbox Live.

Looks quiet good !!!
But I wonder if these cars will get damaged if crashing them.. it could be too sad or even hear attack for some of us, Ferrari lovers..
Anyway, I hope there are lot of models and that we could import tracks from other games.. (rFactor maybe ?)
About F1 cars, I don't know if there will be many, but I don't think they will be needed as I think this game will be more for road cars, but if so, we should have tracks like SCAR Alfa Romeo videogame, as tracks could be too limited, anyway, looking forward to it !!!
Would be also great of Michael Schumacher would help the developers and also appear in the game !!!
Cheers,
SchumiBCN .

From what's been written in ASS, there will be plenty of F1 cars. It will also be a next gen title so forget rFactor conversions of conversions, this will be in another league. While its strange Blimey are coy about platforms, given the license and the development costs its sure to be available on console. |

All I ask is they don't lock the ability to add tracks in the future, in some way. Because you know, there will be many (including me) that want to see Nordschleife Tourist imported from Gmotor2. Or at least the ability to alter to work with the new platform (Gmotor3 or whatever theirs will be called). That track with some of these Ferrari's would be an amazing experience. Especially online with several different models running (F40,F50) or (F360 vs F355 etc). |
