Last time I've played GPL years ago, and I'd like to join again. I have 2 questions.
Should i install the original game and upgrade it step by step or should I take a demo or what? I need some advice about that.
Second, are there any online races for beginners?. Unfortunately, after so many years of not playing, im just a beginner and i would probably just be in everybodys way on the track.

Install the demo.. get GEM+ 2.4.6.6 and install the tracks manually.
The only think I'm not too sold on is the sounds in the demo... but this is by far the best way to reload GPL..
Beginner League... some online races in VROC ( which is a ghost town ) are marked as Novice only.. but that's about your best bet.

No.. I didn't mean to say that. It's just that the online open-race arena is vacant. There are still many people enjoying GPL online in leagues and offline as well. It's still the best sim ever produced IMO.

 Why wait for RSC when you can go directly to the horse's mouth at the SRMZ and get the GPLPS All-in-one installer:

BTW, you can find links to all your immediate needs like GEM, mods, tracks, etc. at the Alternative GPL Track Database:

All the Mods are hosted by Bill (who now also hosts SpeedGeezers), and just about all the tracks are hosted by him or private sites with just a very few at RSC so you no wories. If you want something just post at SRMZ and they'll en devour to post what you may need.
