Okay, I know this has probably been talked about 1000 times but...is there anything that can be done about the AI ability in practice and qualifying and then in the race? I have a 2007 FIAGT series that I am putting together and I was trying it at the Hungaroring last night. The AI was practicing and qualifying at least 3-5 seconds quicker than I was....even some of the GT2 cars were quicker. So I didn't even bother with qualifying; I just started at the back. Well, I went from 30th to 3rd in 10 laps and would have been better than that if the AI would drive a little cleaner. Funny how their driving ability goes way down and their agression goes sky high. Again, is there anything that can be adjusted for that? If I turn the AI ability down (it's already down to 97) so the qualifying is somewhat equal, then the race is a joke...I could probably beat them in reverse.

I have noticed a big difference between race and qualifying speeds, but I haven't had problems with aggression from the AI. I keep the aggression setting to normal. AI drivers probably use different set ups for Qual and Race, it seems the practice speeds from the AI are qualifying speeds. I guess the best bet is to increase AI ability so the race is competative, and work on a special set up for qualifying. For qualifying I put in enough fuel for 4 or 5 laps, soft tires and drive very aggressively. For the race I fill it up and use medium or hard tires so that speeds don't drop off as much over a long run. |
