Hi there! Now this really is a dream coming true! As a complete RBR maniac, I draw detailed maps of tracks situated in the surrounding area where I live (central Switzerland/countryside, lots of hills, rivers, bridges, forest, surface changings...). No I'll finally be able to implement these maps into a an actual RBR track...still can't believe it! Thanks to all who are involved in this! Greetings |

Hi there everyone!
As Flagmo-T said, we definitely should not forget black f's huge efforts. He has done a shitload of work to make importing tracks possible, more than any of us can probably imagine.
Piddy's tool is absolutely great, it makes track editing so much easier and saves a lot of work on basic things. But as much as we need to thank Piddy for his great tool, we must remember black f's work.
Thanks for everyone who's involved in track editing. You keep RBR alive. Also big thanks for Czech guys for great track.
There's just one thing I'd like to say to all of you. Remember that the quality surpasses the quantity. So, 10 detailed well finished tracks is a lot better for the whole scene than 1000 quickly made, unifinished, undetailed tracks. Pay attention to the details and be patient. Czech guys showed what's the right way to create a track. They didn't publish a half-done undetailed track but a very detailed, finished track. That should be everyone's goal IMO.
I'm not sure whether anyone remembers me anymore as I haven't posted for 2 years at all but I've been lurking around, checking what's going on the "scene". It's nice to see there are some people who don't give up. My special greetings go to black f, not to belittle anyone elses work either.
Cheers, you all.

Videos are all done with Windows Media Encoder that you can download for free.
Here's the codecs if that's all you want.

And yeah, none of it would be possible without black f's extensive work. He is certainly one very determined and dedicated person. I always learn something new from him every time we chat.

Having almost left sim-racing at all for 2 years, but this awesome.
Great job all being involved in the track editing.
Keep it up guys, RBR is the best (rally) sim ever, would be great to see it live at least as long as GPL, maybe then I will finally have time to get back to it again.
Thanks again! |

The ruts and potholes, etc. ans changing surfaces and grip levels of a typical rally track will be a huge amount of work...but this tool lets all the basics be constructed in such short order! It will allow time to be spent on those details instead just trying to get the fundamentals to work. Fantastic! |

This is great news - thanks to everyone involved.
It is slightly reminiscent of way, way back when someone managed to figure out how to make GPL tracks - if I remember correctly, at that point GPL was a couple of years old and the popular choice for mods was Sports Car GT (ISI's first game). Suddenly the GPL community exploded, and the tracks just kept on getting better and better.
So - high hopes for this. I don't think we'll see another rally sim to match RBR any time soon (if ever), any more than we've seen another GPL - some games just have that 'je ne sais quoi' which makes them special
Hopefully someone will create an easier way to choose multiple cars, and maybe do a better job at the RWD than my old idea of having a FWD car with the front wheels moved to the back of the car and the rears on the front (which messes up the collision and puts the handbrake on the front wheels )
Again, great work and thanks to all involved. |

Wow, this is looking good And thanks for the video, it helps to show how easy it can be when you get the hang of the tools. I am considering getting it for Rfactor now, to try and build a local racetrack we have here that is not modelled yet. And, with the video you have showing how you can take a top down photo (blimp), and then lay the track over the picture, then enter distance and it will make that to scale. That simplifes things so much. Again, great work, really considering it now |

I am, to quote a few race drivers... "over the moon" about the possibilities this work brings to RBR. This awesome rally simulation should not die like it's namesake (too early and too soon)...and this modding tool will keep RBR going for some time to come. Thanks.
