Now that the physics has been hacked, do you know if there is anyone working on creating a Champ Car/Indy Car mod for GPL?
WE all know that would be the ultimate in the sim community, and now that the phsyics can add aero, i would think it can't be that far off no? |

But those are just F1 69 cars with Champ Car liveries...im talking creation of the actual champcar chassis/phsyics...
The sim community has been waiting for an american open wheel sim since ICR2...
If you can add wings like the thunder cars, you gotta be able to modify the shape of the car etc. |

Good suggestion, but I think that you'll find that most people involved in GPL are more interested in historic mods. There are cars from the 30s, 50s as well as 60s era Cortinas, Caterhams and 67 sports cars that are being worked on now, but most of them will be a long time (years) coming.
One of the problems of cranking out GPL mods is that developing the physics is limited to very few individuals and they, luckily, are perfectionists in getting it right.
You'll probably have more luck asking for a mod like this from the rFactor community. However, my impression is that the rFactor mods are rushed and inaccurate sometimes.
