Very good work plankgas
Could you tell us a little about the amount of hours you have spent on the part we see in the video? |

Ohhh very good work plankgas, thanks for your updates. I like the look of the track, narrow roads and big jumps. I have downloaded recently 3dsmax 8 with PandaExporter. I'm new to 3dsmax, so ive found 5go of videos tutorials, they are very good. They talks about how to start learning 3dmax, modeling, texturing, lightning, character animation, character rigging, etc... I'm very interested to learn all this but it will takes a lot of time. When I will know how to manipulate the basics, I will try to start making a track. First thing I've already try to achieve is to successfully export a track to rbr with all your steps but it doesnt work. I don't know what ive made wrong .. the game simply crash on the loading screen. I need some helps plankgas, please P.M. me if you have time...
Regards,
Jamie

I lost count, I started on the 23rd of March. Needed a lot of time to figure things out and make the textures. Now I can build much faster.

BTB progress is going well and I'm at the point where I need to speak to black f about the DX format if we're to use the new plug-in. The plug-in is created by black f and he's been absent for the past couple of weeks (hope nothing untoward has happened).
BTB has changed quite a bit with the way it handles materials / textures so it will allow additional ones to be added more easily and at the same time have surface properties that are specific to RBR - but there's still quite a bit more work to do. I'm also working on an intermediate release (before RBR's) that'll add a little more control over resizing / rotating of tracks.
Another tool released which has had little mention but has a LOT of potential, especially for Rally fans is this ... https://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=VE%20Track%20Starter . Whilst this is an rFactor site, it can equally be used for, and I think better suited towards, creating long rally tracks. Still a little buggy but when it works you simply click on the roads you wish to map out as a journey, save it to CSV format, then import it into BTB. You can literally make a basic 50km track in minutes. It currently lacks height data but that too will hopefully be in a future release.

@mazee. nice first track. Show's the variety of possibilities!
@E.Zelaieta, The intermediate release will be next week but that won't yet have the RBR stuff. I still have much work to do and too far away to give any date - but best to be thinking in terms of Xmonths rather than Xdays - some of this depends on when black f returns. I'll release it as soon as it's ready but that depends upon when the last bug is squashed - so the release date is something I never know until it happens. When it's close enough I will ask volunteer BTB Pro users to beta test - I want to make it as clean a release as possible. I'm hoping you'd be able to give it a whirl then.
