seem to get CTD's from switching this on. Mainly at the moment of finishing a track and selecting replay, it will load and as its about to fade in to external car view it will more often than not CDT.
If at the point of finishing a track and then saving replay, exit to menu, load the reply it wont CTD, well ... it has done once out of many times, but will nearly always CDT if I go straight to replay from ending a track.
1280x1024 no AS or AA ATI and not running RBR dll using SSE and the latest patch etc.
Without it running I hardly have any CTD's.
Any ideas?
On another note:
IN gauges.ini :
[MAIN]
NUMGAUGES=65
CURGAUGE=4
If I set this to:
NUMGAUGES=2
CURGAUGE=1
[PATHS]
GAUGE0=*name*
GAUGE1=*name2*
and set guage2 folder with transparent tga's, would this work so I could ahve a makeshift on/off (IE: going to number 2 would show transparent tga as a poor mans "off") and then 1 would be the gauge I want permintent?
Would this work? |

As an update I go it working so I had 1 gauge I liked the most and another set with blank Alpha channel TGA's named the same in another guage folder to switch gauges off.
My ini looks like this :
[MAIN]
NUMGAUGES=2
CURGAUGE=2
[PATHS]
GAUGE0=Myguage_OFF
GAUGE1=Myguage_ON
GAUGE2=Myguage_OFF
If you set it for 2 guages and only have GUAGE0 + GUAGE1 it seems to crash, as if NUMGAUGES=2 misses GUAGE0 (?). Anywho if you set NUMGAUGES to "2" make sure you have 0/1/2 guages. I never thought to kill guage "0" but this works anyhow.
BTW CURGAUGE - is current viewed guage, set it to what you want to see on load up. Mines set to "2" as thats the blank one / off.
In the guages folder I have 2 folders "Myguage_OFF" & "Mygauge_ON". - "Mygauge_ON" has the gauges I like & "Myguage_OFF" has the same files accept I saved over them a full blank alpha channel tga (save as 32bit with alpha).
So when I toggle through with delete key I can switch to a blank gauge view = a poor mans "off" or the gause I like = on.
It works for me. Although even with this or with the standard version I get too many CTD's when going into a track or viewing replay after playing a track that I cant use it (which is a shame) as I really like this.
Racer_s .. any hints on why CTD's? What do you get with it and what res are you? Im 1280x1024. |

WOW I can't believe I've never tried this before. What a great mod!.
Only 1 problem. none of them show the gear numbers. How can I enable that? |
