This thing is killing me... i keep getting the 'gameport or gameport drivers are not configured' errors. Ive tried the FAQ setup tips - and i still get the error.
I have installed the files from the that came with the Xbox wireless gaming receiver, and apparently they are 'ok'.
When i opent he control panel in the 2004 demo, i cant get the game to recognize the wheel - which makes sense.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks |

hmm... I wish I could help. I thought I would be able to find this locally, but I gave up this weekend, and ordered it from Amazon. I was hoping it would be here by this weekend, but it looks like it won't be here till the middle of next week.
I'm curious if it supports FF in windows yet. The web page for it makes it sound that that's coming soon.
Have you tried any other games? Is there anything in device manager that didn't install?
In an Amazon review a guy said that he had to use some software called Pinnacle game profiler. Not sure if that would work for you or not. It sounds similar to controlMK. Which is made by the same guy that wrote the xbox controller driver (XBCD).

finally got it to work, on my third unit! from some of the xbox forums, the quality of the drivers or the unit itself wasnt that great.
Having said that - its working great now, 3 days in... |

feedback is pretty good - for just over 100$ i cant complain. Bit of a dead spot in the middle which I think i can get worked out with some adjustment, but otherise the fit and finsih is very good, and the unit is solid. |

Did you have to do something special to get the force feedback to work in GPL? I tried it with Richard Burns and the force feedback section was grayed out. I also tried in RACE and the GPL demo. I didn't get force feedback to rumble. I even went to the web page and got the v1.1 drivers. Still didn't make a difference.

In GPL you have to have the latest patch at https://gplmz.bcsims.com/index.php?showtopic=151 which should put it up to v.1.2.0.2.
Then in the gpl folder, find the core.ini and set allow_force_feedback = 1

yeah, I installed the v2 patch, that should cover it, shouldn't it? and I did check the ini file already.
Looking into it, it looks like the drivers don't support it yet... bummer... from the xbox.com page on it:
Future drivers available for Windows Vista and Force Feedback for the Wireless Racing Wheel.
I'll keep waiting I guess.
