Three years after Techland launched Xpand Rally in Europe, the company knew it was time to step up and release a sequel, an improved version of the original game. This is Xpand Rally Xtreme. The main features of the first title were beautiful graphics with carefully modeled cars and lots of nice lighting effects. Unfortunately for them, Xpand Rally was a rally game, not a photo shoot simulator, so the game was criticized in what concerns its approach to driving.

From the review:
"Xpand Rally Xtreme could very well be one of the best rally games this year."
How about the only rally game of the year (Now ain't that sad!!). When you compare it to itself it only makes sense to say this (if your a complete fool) but then again, if you (the reviewer) have trouble finding your wheel, there's something to be said about that!!!
Bottom line: "the game is total crap, even beta testers warned them!!"
RBR rules!!!

Oh my, this review is too funny. First off the guy doesn't even know where his steering wheel is . . . first sign of a novice driver. Then he goes on to say,
"the game features two different modes, though none of them seemed real." and "If the arcade mode could be a little easier to play, financially speaking, then Xpand Rally Xtreme could very well be one of the best rally games this year." LOL!! Only an arcade fan could say that. And how in the world can he give it an 82/100, and how can Xpand still put out a crappy sim mode after getting such flak from the sim community?!! I just don't get it. |

Not true. Colin McRae Dirt will be out this year. Arcade or sim, its a rallygame!

Simple. No-one else's opinion matters...
I Btested it along with 200+ other people, and literally we all quit posting (in the testers forum) suggestions because we could see all they were using us for was "bugtesting". At the last phase of the testing, there were only 3 people that registered in the forum out of 200+ testers. They didn't want our help or input for improvements. There were even some testers that figured out what was wrong with the physics after cracking the physics coding, and they told Techland and offered a ton of suggestions for improvements and flaws that were very apparent in their coding, and that's basically when Techland said no changes will be made, our "internal" test team said the physics were fine. Alot of us in the forum posted that their internal test team must be kids that have never driven a real car... and after that basically 90% of the testing team left because they could see the same thing as above. Techland flushed their own product down the toilet. You must respect and listen to your testers, especially when 100% of them are all saying the exact same thing about the simulation physics...
-And I would like to add, that they burned all their testers in phase3 of testing (yea you better know what I mean Techland). They let down their part of the agreement, so I don't consider their NDA to be valid. I honestly wish I could get that time wasted back bugtesting for them....
-I don't think they will do betatesting again, because they have an "internal" test team of 7 year old kids with gamepads doing the testing for them.....
Why not just say this is a rally arcade and be proud?? There is nothing "SIM" about this. Should be a choice in menu of Arcade1, Arcade2. Anytime you can drive a racing game better with a keyboard or gamepad than a wheel, its pure console/arcade...

That's the exact type people they are probably looking for actually. Preferably no wheel lol
