I have a newer HP PC with the XP home edition. It has an AMD Athlon 4200 dual core processor, 2 Gigs of RAM, and I added an Nvidia Gforce 7300 GS video card with 512 megs of video memory.
I love GP4 but I cannot get it to work well on this new PC. It runs fine for awhile but ramdomly just crashes to my Desktop with no warnings, error messages, or nothing. It was really bad until I turned the graphics record buffer all the way down to zero. I thought this had cured it but it still crashes, sometimes when a full race is 80% done (this gives me brain damage)!
I have been advised to try running it on Windows 98 but the video card is too new and Nvidia doesn't offer drivers for this. Also, I don't think Win 98 supports any PCI Express cards.
I would be willing to compensate someone for some quality telephone assist time to fix this. I am sure there must be something in the system not set-up properly.
Thanks in advance,
The Colonel
