Grand prix 4 has been my favorite game ever since it came out. I haven't had a PC good enough to run it well until recently. I bought an HP with a 4200 AMD Athalon dual core processor, 2 Gig ram, a Gforce 7300GS video card, and new Sound Blaster sound card.

The game usually works great now but every once in a while, with no warning, the whole thing just shuts off and throws up the desktop.

Any advice?

This became a big problem for me. The solultion in my case was to use the program GPxPATCH to run the game - and in this program set the CPU setting to "0"
