COSTA MESA, CA., Nov. 6th - iDT Simulations LLC and Virtual-E Corporation are proud to announce the signing of an exclusive 3-year license agreement with the Champ Car World Series to develop a PC-based Champ Car racing simulation.

The simulation is slated for an April 2007 release to coincide with the opening month of the 2007 Champ Car season and will incorporate all the drivers, teams and circuits of the 2006 season. An add-on is scheduled for later in the year which will update the simulation to 2007 specifications, including the new Panoz DP01. Both the VirtualGT and simulation software can be experienced first hand at Champ Car events throughout the 2007 season.

Hey Randy.
Yeah, it seems that SE Games phased out mention of Champ Car since that box art was spotted long ago. There was an announcement from them that they were indeed doing it, then not much after that. That Kart sim they are working on as "sim #1" with the #2 supposedly the Champ Car sim, but now it is all about Karts on their site.
I'm a fan and I think this license deserves a long overdue, rightful successor to the original Papy masterpiece. I'm glad they are doing the 2006 season before CC goes the way of F1 style nose and shifters. I guess all we can do is hope for the best for the iDT sim. We won't have to wait long...
