Hi All,
I've bought this game a couple of days ago as I enjoyed the first flatout.
I normally turn up my nose at arcade style games and stick to games like GT-Legends and GTR etc.
However this version of flatout has got something for everybody. It�s got driving physics that are a little over-exaggerated but predictable in a simulation way. EG if I treat it like a sim I can drive faster. This is my main requirement for any racer. (Otherwise it�s just frustrating) The amount of visual carnage is unbelievable. Screenshots do not do justice. I do have a splendid rig though. My only gripe is that the game backs off the throttle for you on corners which I would prefer to do myself. (However it's still challenging to stay on the track with so many obstacles)
Someone found a way with the first flatout to turn the throttle control off. It would be cool if it could be done with this version.
Anyway, I've had lots of fun with it and it�s worth every penny. (I had to import it as it doesn't get released in Australia till 17th of August)

Hi,
Yeah i bought it from play.com for �17.99...Bargain!
Been playing it for over a week now and it is truly amazing, like you i normally hate arcadey games but this is different..you dont just race round a track like your on ice gliding by cars.
As you say the graphics are truly amazing, virtually everything smashes into peices, apparently there is over 5000 objects that can be intergrated with compared to 3000 in the 1st flat out.
The AL is quite up there aswell with some very tight close races to be had i.e on your last lap trying so careful not to smash into an awkward bit of debris on the track which will spin you and possibly lose you the race, also if you are in the lead the others are breathing down your neck..in most cases.
I highly recommend this game to Possibly anyone, it is such good fun and very hard to put down.
