GREAT!!!!

Waited long time for this, gave up hope allready , and now its here. Dancing

Thank you very much.

Applause

EDIT:
Ehm , is there a way to make them smaler?
My monitor doesnt like more than 1024x768.Theres some flickering and the
pic gets funny.
on 1024 the gauges take to much of the screen.

But they look and work great.

One little trick we used to do in the good ol' days was to rotate tach, oil press. water temp gauges so that all needles were vertical when all was well with the world. then you didn't actually have to read them. As long as all needles were vertical - a'ok. I hate digital dashes - you have to read them more or less. As the saying goes - if you have time to look at the tach - you're not trying hard enough. Analogue is always better IMO.

For RBR rotating the tach could be messy WRC = 5500/6000 rpm S1600 = 8500/9000 rpm.

The gear # could be a little larger. I'm old.
Would be nice to have BRIGHT amber/yellow small light/LED go on when within about 300/500 rpm of redline.

Tried it - but came back with ?'t find d3dx9_26.dll

S0 - installed it from:
https://www.toymaker.info/Games/html/d3dx_dlls.html

Tried it - I like it but I can't see where I am going - TOO big.
I run 1280 x 1024.

Now that I have tried it I would suggest putting gear # directly under "4" [4000 rpm] and as large as possible and red with Black background. Maybe put the amber/yellow shift light right beside it.

How do I turn off digi-dash ??

I won't bore you with a long story but I crashed severely [rally car was a write-off] once because dummy me was looking at tach at the wrong second. So this subject has special meaning for me. I don't like backwards flips entering corner at 85 mph anymore.

EDIT: I would prefer needles a little "fatter".

Only thing i need to see is the selected gear and "time to shift" indicator - so this is a bit useless for me... But it looks really great Very Happy .

If someone can make me (or help me to make) what i want i would be very happy Surprised ... All that it should contain is really big selected gear indicator which should (or its background colour) turn red or green when it's time to shift Razz , is it really impossible to make?

Well, I don't look at the dash at all. I listen to the sound of the engine.

Its perfect now, atleast for me.
Tho its not the same as in some circut racing, where u have time to
watch the gauges.
In rbr its kinda imposible to watch the gauges if ur pushing.
Also didnt know how inacurate the speed meter on 4wd cars,If u lock your
whels or powerslide the meter shows deferent values than ur actual speed.

Didnt playd RBR for a while, but now iam back in , and playing 24/7 .
This gauges + Evo8 gN is great.

Thank you Racer_S .

yea i agree.... this is another silly element like 3D pacenotes that remind you its just a game Smile

btw im thinking to add a 3rd dial with turbo/temp gear display... i will likely change this image a bit (fuel = turbo.. gear in black space)

https://pauldesign.ru/honda/projects/gauges/ft_outward_mt.jpg

also i will allow option to manually scale the size if you just want mini dials

awesome, I love it!
I'm salivating at the idea of skinning a dirty and scratched gauge for a groub b monster \o/

edit:
I have a widescreen monitor and at 1440x900 the gauges are distorted and misplaced, I know this is still a work in progress but I will be very glad if in the next version you could add support for the 16:10 ratio Very Happy
The most common res for WS are 1280x800 (generally 15" laptop lcds), 1440x900 (19inch) and 1680x1050 (20).
Thank you \o/

Hey racer - gettin' better.

I always preferred white on black - better definition and not obtrusive -so - I just inverted colours for tach and needle. Couldn't change gear# square to black. Now I can just "read' with peripheral vision instead of a direct look. Would be extremely grateful if - as I mentioned before - rotate tach about 90 deg CCW so that redline is more or less needle vertical. You don't have to look directly at tach to know revs.

EDIT: Forgot to mention - added little benefit of analogue tach is - I can tell better when wheels lock-up under braking - makes for easier brake modulation. Can hear wheel lockup but visual makes it easier - can detect lockup sooner. Should help setting up brake pressures.
