Tarquini introduces the special features which define Evolution GT's numerous failings. The first of these is 'intimidation', which is implemented via a small slider bar attached to the cars of your opponents. Put the pressure on them by keeping close and their nerve will eventually fail, allowing you to overtake with ease. And hey, as I type I realise that this sounds okay in theory, but the implementation in the game itself is impossibly nave.

The PS2 "sim" game R:Racing Revolution used this intimidation effect as well, and it doesn't work in that (bad) game either (actually, that game tries to be a lot like Toca itself, and doesn't succeed in that; given the popularity of Toca here, that says something about R:Racing Wink )
Fortunately, the team that made it after that game went back to making Ridge Racers, they're better at that and then they don't have to claim it's a simulation either Wink

I think it's the same with Milestone. Their roots are the Screamer series, very playable arcade games. They'd better get back to that and leave the simulations to Simbin or ISI Wink

This seems like it is going to be a knock off of there S.C.A.R. game, Only it won't be just Alfa Romeo's this time.

I played SCAR just because I am a fan of Alfa's and for an Arcade game it was kind of fun after I got used to it's RPG style, But I wouldn't call it a SIM by any terms. Just a different style arcade Racer.

I still will pick up Evolution 3 for a change and some offline fun with some new cars and because they have a Monte Carlo Supercharged SS in it Laughing Applause .

Good work again on the driving views Racer _S!
Where did you get the game from? Haven't seen it in the States yet.Checked ebay but came up with nothing.
