Driving Simulation is about the cars and the tracks, whats under the hood and where to race. Now you can race in almost any race type on over 80 tracks around the world with over 70 licensed cars, and I dont mean licensed for street driving. Codemasters has released their third racing sim and they have done a fantastic job. TOCA Race Driver 3: The Ultimate Racing Simulator is not just a few racing types on many racetracks. Its all the major racing types from around the world with some extras thrown in for more fun.

the end is the best:
"I have read about other racing simulation games that concentrate on one type of racing with a huge variety of cars or have several types of racing but not the selection of cars." ..... wth |

Also, note the emphasis on "realism" in the review. Clearly this guy/girl/it haven't played RBR yet.

Really pisses me off they use words "simulation" or "realism" with total arcade games... like Gran Turimo, not even talking about this Toca Crap Driver series which is even far away from Gran Turismo's "realism". |

the review could've been done better, I think.
RD1 had big problems. I do like RD2 though; not so realistic maybe (I prefer to use keyboard with it, actually), but it's just fun and it looks nice for the most part. I assume (from what I've heard/read/etc.) that RD3 is about the same. Ultimate realism? no, not by a far stretch, but fun, yup.... |
