Hey doe sthis use starforce? I don't think it does because of this:
...... none of the other game's developed by Milestone seem to have used SF.. https://www.3dgamers.com/companies/milestone/
I need to check the games published by Black Bean, still there is no guarantee.
Oh, here they are..

just tried it..
surprisingly plenty of content for a demo, you can do some of the season races... create a driver and upgrade your skill and stuff.
thers like 5-6 cars and like 2 or 3 tracks.
some FMV content with some real life driver as a tutor (season mode)
force feedback is fine, seems there is a huge deadzone, but you cant adjust it.
physics are ok and ai is pretty tough.
a cockpit view would make it much better, wonder why they left it out
gfx and sound are perfect.
its basically a SCAR (squadra corse alfa romeo) clone, so if youve played that, youll know what to expect.
no starforce in the demo as far as i can tell.

Hi!
The demo stops responding during the loading screen after the intro. Help.
I remember having the same trouble with the Scuadra Course Alfa Romeo demo (same studio, right?).
Anyone having any suggestions / sollutions to my problem? I have a 6600gt graph card, 2,4 celeron, 768 ram.
thanx!

No cockpit view!? Oh that really sucks. I thought for sure they would have that at least. I'll have to try it out.

I couldnt get the game to recognize my DFP pedals. Surely the final game will have proper wheel support, physics seem fun. |

What were they thinking with that ridiculous deadzone? Why go to the trouble to create a driving game with what appears to be reasonable physics, and then go and have miserable controller configuration...search me

That I dont think its any good, and so I dont need to consider taking out my wallet. Simple as that!

I don't think this is my type of game. The physics seem more arcadey than TOCA3, the wheel+pedal support (for DFP at least) is way off, and I think the sounds are far from perfect. (I also had stuttering problems with FMVs which was wierd.)
The amount of content in the demo was a nice surprise. The gfx were good with a semi 'cell-shaded' look. Kinda reminded me of a game called 'Juiced'. There was some slightly odd but interesting heat haze effects on Albacete too.
Fans of TOCA should be at home I guess. I'm not really a fan of 'car'-pg's though, so I don't think I'd buy it. Tbh I uninstalled the demo pretty quickly. Sorry Black Bean/Milestone...

aannnnd.....uninstall is now complete. Whew! Well, that was a total waste of time and effort. The demo is pitifull. Controls are fine, if you are using a PS2 game pad like I did (obviously what it is made for). Graphics look almost as good as current PS2 titles. Sound was cutting in and out. And I just love the way all my setting and configurations were lost upon restarting the demo, ala Codemasters. Juiced also came to my mind. Well, back to Ice Age 2 demo....love squirrels.
deadzone, if I had only known what you meant I could have saved myself a bit of hassle today. I see the game as a budget release title, but also not something I would buy. |
