It's looking GREAT!!! I'm from Portugal and this year I'm gonna be in the first 2 special stages of the Lisboa-Dakar!! I'm very excited about it!! I can't wait!!
This game, Grand Raid Offroad, is the closiest thing of the Dakar that we've ever had!!
I have my fingers crossed!! |

This looks wonderful. I was saying to myself two years ago, that I was surprised no one had done a baha style sim for driving over the dunes. I will go out and buy this immediately when it comes out.
Hope the physics are true sim quality, and not arcade.

Yes, I've seen the trailers.. driving is not anywhere near richard burns rally, but it's the closiest thing to dune racing that we will ever have!!
Like Flight wrote, I'll go running to the nearest store to buy this superb game has it comes out!!! I'll be the first in the line!! |

The game looked promising and has lots of potencial, but from looking at the game, They put so much effort on the massive terrain and land, that they forgot about the physics. Hopefully, this game might be modable and the physics can ben changed by modders

I don't really expect a full on sim but if it'd driveable & fun then I'll go for it. There hasn't been a decent rally raid game released yet, so fingers, toes & everything else crossed for this one

The cars look to be a smaller scale than the world around them: roads, foliage, poles, fence posts, trees, etc. While some of these screenshots look pretty good, others have this size distortion that would be rather annoying. Also, where are the in-car shots? Is this another Virtual RC or Pole Position? |

This game really needs in-car driving view! The old "Paris-Dakar Rally" game from Acclaim had in-car view and was the only thing that kept me playing it!
Lets hope that Asobo Studio gives us in-car driving and GPS/Notebook navigation! |

In car views were the first thing I asked about in another post, the website still hasn't changed apart from more screenshots. I would imagine that cockpits will be amongst the last thing the devs do. It really would be terrible if the game was great but had no in car or even bonnet view. If its as free ranging as they say then the stages should be amazing.

Well, Dakar has left Portugal and I was lucky to be present at the first two stages! It was really great! I hope to be there again in the next two years!!
Right now, I'm even more excited! I can't wait to try Grand Raid Offroad!!
Hope that Asobo Studio gives us news really soon!!! |
