I just got this and all in all it's a god game, but there seems to be huge changes in the way the AI riders ride their bikes from one difficulty level to the next. On Rookie mode they ride quite sensible and will only overtake when they have a clear way through, but they ride too slowly and I end up leaving them behind.
On Pro mode they ride quicker but have an annoying tendency to dive for gaps that aren't there and 9 times out of 10 misjudge it and ride into you... ends up being more of a touring car race on 2 wheels.
On Champion mode they're next to suicidal and I've not managed to complete a race without getting shunted off.
What I'd like to have is a mix of the riders speed from Pro or Champ modes but with the care taken not to ride into you or each other that they seem to have on Rookie mode. Seems more realistic that way, I dunno about anyone else but I've never seen rossi sart from the back and then barge his way through the pack pushing all the other riders out of the way.
Does anyone know if there are any ways to tweak this?
Hmmm... nevermind. As an eperiment I downloaded and installed the MotoGP2 AI patch and it seems to have worked with this game. The AI bike seem a lot less inclined to push me off the track now
