Does anyone know if it possible to change the Drivers AI times in RBR?

I would like to have stronger competition while playing the game solo in Season Mode and am wondering if any of the .ini files can be tweeked. It would be nice to have the AI drivers times about 5-10% faster/

Anyone know if this can be done?

Thanks..

That will be Misc.rbz (which is a zip file in fact) - unzip it. There you have "ai" dir and "ai.ini" there. After tweaking you can :

- zip it back into Misc.rbz
or
- put it into newly created "Misc" dir (so the game will use everything from Misc.rbz and then it will use files present in "Misc" dir in place of default)

and

you can upload it into BHMS as a mod Laughing

Thanks Ivan!! I'll give it a try. I'm not too familiar with editing these .ini files but it doesn't look too terribly hard. I'll play around with it and see what I can come up with.

I'll keep you all posted...Smile

Sweet it worked!! Just going thru a season to tweak it here and there.

I increased the AI times in GB by 4% and had to REALLY push hard to win.... and then only by 3.9 secs.... I was sweating by bag off!! Smile

Japan was entirely wet and I will need to tweak the times there a bit...

The game crashed with an error after service once.... not sure if its associated to the modifications to the ai.ini.... but it loaded up and worked fine from there and have not had any problems since....

Will con't on tweaking and then post the Misc.rbz when completed.

Thanks again Ivan

P.S. I have increased Finland by 7% because it is always very easy.... we'll see how it works out (I don;'t have the Snowbank Mod)

Extract Misc.rbz if you didn't yet.

You have a Misc folder now , and the game will read the folder first, so
no need to repack it to .rbz again.

Open ai.ini and change the sector times for the stage you want.

Code:
; Track 10
; ------------------------
10                          ; Stage number
0                          ; 0=Dry, 1=Wet
; Section data
; Section 1
01:37:50      ; PAR time
2         ; Material:      0 == Gravel, 1 == Tarmac, 2 == Ice/Snow
0         ; Type:         0 == Curves, 1 == Rough, 2 == Obstacles, 3 == Straights
3         ; Check value
0         ; Type:         0 == Curves, 1 == Rough, 2 == Obstacles, 3 == Straights
3         ; Check value
0         ; Accident table number
; Section 2
03:15:17      ; PAR time
2         ; Material:      0 == Gravel, 1 == Tarmac, 2 == Ice/Snow
0         ; Type:         0 == Curves, 1 == Rough, 2 == Obstacles, 3 == Straights
4         ; Check value
1         ; Type:         0 == Curves, 1 == Rough, 2 == Obstacles, 3 == Straights
2         ; Check value
0         ; Accident table number
; Section 3
04:18:04      ; PAR time
2         ; Material:      0 == Gravel, 1 == Tarmac, 2 == Ice/Snow
0         ; Type:         0 == Curves, 1 == Rough, 2 == Obstacles, 3 == Straights
4         ; Check value
1         ; Type:         0 == Curves, 1 == Rough, 2 == Obstacles, 3 == Straights
2         ; Check value
0         ; Accident table number

This are the base times for that stage , the ai drivers skill and risk taking
factor , determinates the final time the driver will get.

If you have a driver with skill 5 , and his a perfectionist, he will get very close
to that time , if his skill is 1 , he will be way slower than this "base" times.

That way it has to work , else I dont know.

thats what i did, but the results were very mixed. it seemed to work on one stage, but the others i didnt percieve a change.

Im suspecting difficulty plays a part in this as well; i play on realistic, not champion. Ill investigate some more
