I have recently rediscovered Superbike 2001 and have remembered just how good it was. I am, however suffering major problems with the game freezing every now and then. The screen just freezes, however the game is still running 'cause in about 10 seconds it unfreezes and I am left with a bike some distance further on than it was with a rider who has just been turfed into the air! I have turned down the graphics, but my computer is a reasonable spec machine (amd athlon 2100, 1gig ram, geforce ti 4600 - although I am running win2k pro!) and even with the graphics down low I am suffering from this. If I just go for a ride around a track on my own, with no other riders I can up the graphics to full with no issues.
If there is anyone out there who can help me remedy this problem I would be so gratefull, it is making what is already a challenging game almost impossible! |

1. right click the exe and run it in win98 compatability mode...can you do that in win2k???
2. set your desktop to 16 bit.
3. look around for a nocd patch. sometimes that has worked for others having problems just getting the game to run at all.
Good luck.
