i made a .car file but i cannot get it to work and i dunno why. i followed this tutorial https://www.jcdesignz.net/Convert_Tutorial/Index.htm but cant find the problem. i looked at the heat log file and here is what it says (i hope i put the right info cuz i think this is where it messes up):
03.58.328: FOUND trackvar 0 for Texas: 1600.000000
03.58.562: paintjobs: ~Torino car.tex does not exist
03.58.562: paintjobs: ~S&H Torino.tex does not exist
03.58.562: paintjobs: ~Torino car.tex does not exist
03.58.593: paintjobs: ~Torino car.tex does not exist
03.58.593: bad texture name: ãããããããããããããããããããã
03.58.593: obsolete empty texture support: ãããããããããããããããããããã
03.58.593: res: ResourceGet("ãããããããããããããããããããããããí") not found, returning NULL!

Did you use 3DsMax or Zmodeler ?
There's some important points in the tutorial I have missed: the model must be renamed (not just the export file, but the model in zmod/3DsMax as well) before exporting
Another aspect would be not use tex file names with blanks
Where did you put in the tex files ? Directly to Heat folder or into the .car file ?

I used noth zmodeler and 3dsmax for this. I changed the names of the cars to a single word no space like u said but same thing happens. I don't know anything bout the tex files it cannot find. What i did was made the car file and then put 3 carXXX.tex files in the same folder as the car and tried to run the game.

OK...I see what it is based on your last comments.
It looks like you are making a Torino,so here is what you should have as far as textures:
torino1.tex (applied to torino body)
glass.tex (applied to windows)
interior.tex (applied to any interior parts seen from outside the car..unless this is already on the "torino1.tex")
See...the name of the car file (in this case a Torino) must have a matching texture name (EG: torino.tex) and to be paintable...it must have the "1" added which makes it "torino1.tex".
You'll need to rename your textures and apply those to your models.
Hope it helps.

Was the car you converted the Starsky and Hutch Torino? If so you might want to read the very top of Jays tutorial, clearly stating this car won't work.
