Players of the recently launched on-road nitro r/c racing simulator, Virtual RC Racing, will this month (January) see the addition of three exciting world class circuits. If seven ultra realistic 3D tracks were not enough to satisfy players of the free to download sim, the latest track releases from the games makers, Virtual Racing Industries, are sure to provide plenty of interesting new challenges.

Heading the January releases is the 2003 1/8th scale IFMAR World Championship circuit of Cincinnati. The second version of the US circuit, the first release being the layout used for the 2002 1/10th scale World Championship, the new track is the version on which the sports most successful driver, Lamberto Collari, took his most recent World title driving for Kyosho. Perfectly detailed, the track gives r/c enthusiasts the chance to try to emulate the great Italian driver.

Second of the New Year releases is yet another World Championship circuit. This time virtual racers will have the opportunity to race at the MACH track in the Netherlands where that same man, Collari, secured the 1989 World title with Serpent. Situated next to the Serpent Motorsport factory, the track is used by the five times World champions for all their R&D testing. A virtual track well worth checking out especially if you are a Serpent owner.

Completing the list of January releases will be the impressive Tamiya Kakegawa Circuit in Japan. Owned and designed by the world leading model manufacturers, the track is the most impressive r/c race facility in the world. The venue for the highly competitive Japanese Nationals and the Tamiya World finals, the Kakegawa Circuit is a must for Tamiya owners. Race the virtual TG10 at the very place it was developed for real competition.

Proving the most popular track choice to date with the 20,000 plus registered Virtual RC Racing racers from around the world is Luxembourg, venue of the 2004 EFRA 1/8th scale European Championships. One of the most challenging circuits in Europe, it features a copy of the famous Laguna Seca cork-screw corner at the end of the front straight. If you master this you will master the track.

Another track proving a hit with Virtual RC players is the 2004 IFMAR 1/10th scale World Championship host track Jundiai, which in reality is located 60km outside Sao Paulo in Brazil. With over 2.5 metres of elevation change, this circuit is really a one-off and offers a real challenge to even the most experienced racer.

All new track releases along with the previously released Luxembourg, Brazil, Oslo, Sydney, Cincinnati 2002, Ft. Myers and Fiorano tracks are available to purchase from the official Virtual RC Racing web site.

Whats up with this game anyway. I did dowload it under the "Free Download" area on their website, but when I wanted to play I had to type a key which I had to pay for?

Isnt there a demo, who do they think will buy such a "different" game without knowing what they get in advance? There arent really that many RC fanatics in this world to earn money on it without a demo.
