xpand rally is a stunning racing game
looks real and drives real
deadzone and saturation need tweaking for optimum performance with a wheel
tried it with momo rf - best wheel on earth
and thrustmaster ffrw - good wheel with 302 drivers installed
now to stop the lag
my sys is barton3200 oc to 2400MHz on 436 bus
corsair pc4000 1024MB
GF6800
this tweak transforms xpand rally and many other pc games - especially driving sims like toca prd and toca rd2
launch game and while its running press ctrl-alt-del
this will minimise game and bring up task manager
right click on xpandrally.exe in processes window and set priiority to high
click yes to the warning - nothing to worry about
close task manager and click on minimised game taskbar icon to resume game
be amazed at the performance difference!
you can get a program that will automatically launch any game from its own shortcut at high cpu priority

quick tip for people using via chipset motherboards and xp sp2 - dont install the via agp drivers because vias gart programming is incompatible with xp and WILL cause poor graphics performance and may cause data corruption
to remove via agp driver go to device manager and uninstall via cpu to agp controller - reboot when prompted to reinstate microsofts agp driver which is currently the best with xp sp2
all the best fellow simmers!
Nick
I've had to use that priority tip to get RD2 to work but I will try Xpand with it as well and let you know how it goes, although I've not had any problems so far(that is probably the kiss of death now)with Xpand.

Sorry it's taken so long to reply but work has been hectic over the past week.
I managed to play Xpand this morning so there I was bolwling along through the Grand Canyon with a prioritised game, I couldn't see that it made much difference to it but the Speedup prog sounds interesting.
