I am trying to get the Prototype Mod to run for F1 Chal. I have all the files, patches and service packs. They are all installed in my F1 chall dir.

When I run the Prototype EXE it goes to the normal F1 chall 3d setup bit where I select my refresh rate and res. Then it goes into f1 chall same as most other mods. I jump out of there and restart Prototype EXE and no go.

It just sends me back to the refresh screen again and f1 chall???
I have tried this several times with no luck.

???Any thoughts please guys?

You must copy and paste the graphics information from your config.ini to the one specific to your Prototype C mod config (PrototypeC.ini), for example you must copy the lines:

CPURATING=4
SYSTEMRAM=512
VIDEORAM=226
OBJDETAIL=3
TEXDETAIL=3
VIDEOGUID=D7B71EE2-0208-11CF-FE6A-786FA1C2CB35
VIDEODRIVER=0

Was that in the Readme file?? I didnt see it.

BTW nice mod shame about the sounds.

Vince klortho "https://forum.rscnet.org/member.php?u=6735" has the soluition for that. fixed my problem, pretty sure it's the same as yours.

yup, it organizes the launcher and should help you. Since PCLK asked I followed his question, and it seems that program is pretty useful.
