I just tried it a little bit (not the multiplayer mode, only the time trial)
changes from previous demo:
Ability to change language (inclding co driver)
Ability to display Kph
The rest is terrible...
Wow, moving from RbR to this game is an awesome experience
The only thing that is cool in Cmr05 is the sound, especially the codriver.
All the other things (graphics, handling, car reactions, gameplay etc...) is just a joke.
/me go back to RbR |

What?! Scandinavian flick all the way??? WTF are they talking about? Do they know what scandinavian flick is? By all forgotten gods... reminds me of straight-through-core-perforated-titanium-coated-platinum-studded-glass-packed-neon-motorcycle-style-20-hp-adding mufflers on rice rockets

Just for dumps and giggles, I installed the demo and what can I can. Complete garbage. Graphics are unrealistic, almost cartoonish, deadzone settings don't stay, ya I know it's just a demo. They said it will compete with RBR and Xpandrally, perhaps they were thinking it will compete with those who are blind, deaf and dumb, in that case I'd have say maybe. It's a waste of time, bandwidth and space. It'll take much more to compete with the likes of RBR. If you lookig for a good rally sim I suggest you run don't walk, away from CMR-2005, you'll wish you spent your money on something else. Paco gives this demo the lowest rating possible. Since I can't think this low "in numbers", I'm having a cray super computer do the calculations and will post the number when it's finished, ETA is 100 years.

Something changed with CMR5. It's like the CMR4 excelent physics engine were exchanged for a Nintendo racing game engine. I don't know why they did that because it's going scare off alot of people, which they may gain back in the 8 to 12 year old age group, I don't know. |

Well I just tried the MP demo and it works great! It handles nothing like the horrible SP demo released a couple of weeks ago. It is just like CMR4 now! In fact, I can't tell any difference except for the excellent new overlay gauges while in hood and cockpit views. If the new game offers enough new cars I may get it, but otherwise I can't tell any difference in CMR4 and the 5 MP demo. Great game after all. |

Well, I've played a little more in multiplayer mode, and I must admit that it's fun...but in no way I consider this "thing" as a rally game!
It's way too fast, races are too short, intense but too short!
First I thought I was playing Wipeout ! (and I was searching for the weapons button
No sensations at all, no need to listen to the codriver, even NO NEED TO BRAKE! you can do all the race by only pressing the handbrake button for several curves.
Damn..what happened to the Codies? Are they crazy? |
