could some1 please tell me how to upload skins onto a car, because i have read topics about it in other forums, but at the moment, the only way i can see my own skin, is by changing the name of a new skin with the name of a default skin. Am i doing this correctly? if not then how do u upload the skins?
P.S. I HAVE SKIN MANAGER

As trotter explained above, but that's not enough for others to see your skin.
to clarify a bit further;
If you have an S2 licence, upload your created skin at LFS-World . All uploaded skins must have a unique name, so if your chosen name is taken you must rename it to something else.
Then go to your garage for the car in question. On the colours list on left click new and give it a name. Then go through Trotters2k instructions above to select your skin and associate it with that colour setting. (remember the skin in your folder must have identical name to the one you uploaded).
From now on when you are in a server, others will automatically download your skin from LFS-World , and you will be seen as you intended. If you just rename one of the default skins, others would not see the same as you.
edit: this feature of downloading skins from LFS-World has replaced that function of Skin Manager

With the demo, you can create and use skins for your own cars but you cannot upload them to LFSWorld. The demo does not support automatic downloading of skins.
I think you can manually save the skins of people you race with into the skins_x folder so that you see them with the correct skin. They would have to send you their skins or share them on websites or forums.
Note: Skins you wish to use on your own car need to be in the 'skins' folder. Skins of other cars need to be in the skins_x folder, with the exact same file name they are using.
