Hi,
Have you been able to run any of the other demos in the past?
- What speed of processor do you have?
- What gfx card do you have?
- Do you have dx9 installed?
All the best,
Ash |

HI Gajwap,
Sounds like a perfectly good system to me! My friend runs it on his 9800Pro just fine.
Do you have any strange controller configurations or an odd soundcard? Do you have a network card installed?
Running out of ideas here
Hope I can get it working for you
All the best,
Ash |

Do you confirm that in order to lauch the demo I just have to double click on the sirocco.exe ?
Does it run on windows XP platforms ?

Yep, I run it and develop it on XP here.
You should just run sirocco.exe. Can you describe to me what happens? Is there a black screen? Could you have a look in run.log and debug.log to see what the last few lines are?
Thanks!
All the best,
Ash |

I had the same back to desktop problem.
I fixed ti by editing joystick.ini and set forcefeedback to 0
forcefeedback = 0

Hi Guys,
Did Jure's suggestion sort it out? Are you using FF Wheels / Joysticks?

i am using a logitech wingman rumblepad and a logitech momo force wheel. both are ff. adding the forcefeedback = 0 line to joystick.ini didn't do anything. |

Hi Mike,
Could you try calibrating / running without the rumblepad in (just as a test). I am using the Momo so it should work great! . I really hope we can get to the bottom of this and get you guys on the road!

i now realize that i didn't assign the controls before trying to play. DUH! maybe that's why the forcefeedback line wasn't in joystick.ini.
after disconnecting the rumblepad it ran fine. ran even better after i assigned some controls lol. so the prob does seem to be with having 2 controllers plugged in at the same time.
thanks ash for your help. guys like you make gaming fun! |

Users Eh?
Glad you had fun. Although I haven't had a problem with multiple controllers on this machine. I have my Actlabs pedals working with my momo nicely .
The calibrate.exe only shows the data for the *selected* controller (in the box at the top). It will still read the data from ALL controllers (maximum of 20 IIRC).
All the best,
