ok i have this game and find it very interesting and exciting to play- the masterclass is very very good and needs to be in every auto-racing sim for it's information. my problem with this and other driving sims is the little adjustments needed to get the most out of your car- i don't have time for it. i work and have my family too. when i have time to do a few laps, that is what i want to do, not screw around with dampers etc. I wonder how many pro-race drivers do their own adjustments or let their mechanic do it. really, with all due respect to you who love to make those adjustments yourself, i would like to have an option that would have the car get better after doing a number of test laps followed by a pit stop. that seems to me to be a reasonable compromise, and better than resorting to "ultra-grip" cheats.

Well, the old drivers that had to work on their cars did spend as much time with setting up a car just like the crew does today. The driver of today mostly spends his time talking with the crew chief telling him how the car felt during a run or a race and the crew chief tells the crew what to do. There are still the few drivers that will get their hands dirty and work on the car themselves, but, this is becoming more and more rare as crews get larger because the money to pay for larger crews is there. As far as sim racing goes, I can simphise with you. I have no time for setups anymore because of work and school. There are plenty of people out there willing to help you with setups and allow you to download a few setups of their own. They may even tweak it for you, if you can give a clear enough explaination on how the car is acting. This can be the hard part because everyone has their own feel for a car and their own explaination for it's feel. There can even be the difference in how one person can describe a part. One could call it a sway-bar while one calls it an anti-roll bar. This can also make for difficult tweaking of the suspension. Talking to the person who gave you the setup(s) can aid in this as the both of you will become accustomed to each other.

I am really liking this sim the more that I play it--the graphics are outstanding and the physics model feels pretty good, certainly the finest to come from codemasters this year.

What bothers me is that the testing mode is single car only so you have no idea how to set up the car while running traffic. I also feel that the car understeers unrealistically, but this just may be technique. I am getting better at it, the season mode is very interesting and immersive, and the masterclass stuff is pretty cool.

All in all, I think this is a great sim that could use a patch or two. I am not that into multiplayer, so the lack of it doesnt bother me.

I like it a lot.
