This article was writen by Malcolm Edeson, a professional race driver, instructor and driver coach. Trying to evaluate a "sim" as to how good/complete it is and compare it to other sims is no simple tasks as there as so many elements that can and perhaps should be taken into account...

| Malcolm, I have to admit that I was disappointed to learn about the lack of realism (to some degree) about a few of my favorite sims, however, I must admit that I found myself nodding my head all the way through your article. I have not driven in a real-life race car of any kind, and it was a breath of fresh air to hear this information coming from a seasoned veteran, thank you for taking the time to write this. |

What an awesome read!Excellent insight into sim racing in general and I tend to agree with most of what you wrote.

Thanks fore the compliments guys - really makes all the typing worthwhile. Have you checked out all the follow-up posts from the original thread at the Official GTR2002 forum www.simbin.com (the one about "GTR drivers in real life ...") also getting lots of comment at the West Racing "General" forum https://www.west-racing.com/forums/ the thread about "give this guy a beta .."
Onlinesims - don't be too dissapointed - it's not light years from reality just that it contains some elements which are not fully realistic.
