Hi,

I've started this car because I wanted to make a model with some detail.
Not just a body with wheels (which is what I was doing with previous cars), but als suspension and other stuff.
And also to learn how to texture a car.

On this model I only keep it simple, just to learn Smile

This is my progress so far.

Hello Cryothic,

we had a possibility to visit Lamborghini factory and a museum a few months ago, and we took some high quality photos of the cheetah model, if you want, we can post them here. There is a photo showing only chasis and a body frame.

Best regards

Thanks in advance.

Good work!

Will this be low poly version or are you planing on smoothing it?

As for texturing... do you mean just aplying different materials or unwraping UVW and painting your own?

Thank you.

I think I'll wait and see what I can do with smoothinggroups.
The car itself is kind of boxy Smile
Not to much round curves.

If that doesn't work, I think I need to meshsmooth it.

As for the texturing part, The body will be unwrapped and painted.
The rest of the parts will probably just get materials.

I would go with meshsmooth. You know how ugly are 90 degree edges when it comes to rendering Smile

Just make sure you chamfer them.

Actually i though i had something more useful, but seems like Cheetah didn't catch my attention very much.. but anyway, here are a few pictures....

somehow i couldn't upload pictures here, so i put them on our server at www.xayne.com/lamborghini please take them and i will delete after a few days...

Xayne is a car design studio actually and that BMW is like one of our designs finished in Photoshop. Currently we are looking for people who could
work with same things only in 3D. If you are interested, email us, we can talk.

Best regards,
Tomas Riuka
