Just bought this game and when driving the car it is all over the place. Its "VERY" hard to control. Just the slightest turn of the wheel and Im spinning out of control. Is this the way its supposed to be or do I have the wheel set up wrong?
Also sometimes the menu's in the game quit working. I can scroll through them with the mouse but Im unable to select anything?
thanks |

This game sucks. The car are too hard to control with a wheel and there is frame rate flicker. Others have complained for months, but no patches. Plus the online play is misleading and very weak. Oh...but the graphics are pretty! |

So I guess its supposed to be hard to control. |

My MOMO setup works great for me, first select gamepad instead of wheel in RSC, then D/L dxtweak2 and get rid of the 5% deadzone, in RSC put your deadzone to 0 and put your sensitivity on midway.
As far as online is concerned D/L this small program https://peracer.cjb.net/ (RalliSpy2) this will enable you to see servers running RSC and it will allow you to post your top track times and see others.

This game has very touchy handling, but it is manageable if you do a few things. If you set (right before the race starts) the steering to "loose" instead of "tight", the car will turn less, you'll have to turn the wheel more but on the other hand the car won't be as touchy. I find that it also helps if you turn on auto-centering on my Momo Racing. I haven't tried the Joystick trick yet like it was mentioned in other threads (will try that later) but doing these things I mentioned helped stability big time.
EDIT: About the menu items not working, I used to get that sporadically, but not anymore. I haven't changed a thing in the configuration when it stopped working, nor when it started working again. I assign every control to the wheel, and when the keyboard didn't work, usually acceleration would work as "Enter/return" key, shift up and down would work as their corresponding arrow keys, steering would cycle through left/right, etc. Each control on the game would do something in the menus, so try using those, it may work. |
