Got it today, played around with it alot (took me awhile to figure out I had to turn off the Force Feedback...doh, we need a patch fast for this goof), finally got it to run pretty sweet. The game is fun!! Its $29, not $49. Its like SCGT but with MUCH better graphics, and better physics. The surround sound is cool, I like driving in the GT class, against the full grid, it is total glory when the LMP cars blast by. Shakes the floor!
OK here's what sucks... no LAN play. Just that goofy console split screen crap. Ick.
Try it in 1600 X 1200 X 32 with everything pumped to max, and choose the bumper cam view. The graphics rock at that setting, you really feel the speed, and the reflections on the asphalt are too cool. These cars look beautiful. And the HUD is most useful, most informative, and very easy to read at speed.
Its true, its not a pure hardcore sim. But it isn't bad. |
